We are seeking an Assistant Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This position is designed for an electrician looking to take the next step off the tools and into an office-based management role. You’ll work closely with the Director and small management team to support tendering, estimating, and project delivery across a diverse range of projects.

This role offers the chance to develop strong estimating and project management skills while still staying connected to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with preparing quotes, tenders, and cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects

Review drawings, specifications, and take-offs using software tools (Simpro, Groundplan)

Support project planning, procurement, and scheduling

Liaise with builders, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and manage project requirements

Track project costs, variations, and progress reporting

Provide administrative and project support to the management team

Help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard

What We’re Looking For

Licensed electrician (A-Grade or equivalent) with experience in commercial/industrial projects

Strong interest in moving away from on-site work and into management, estimating, and office-based responsibilities

Attention to detail and good with numbers

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Simpro/Groundplan highly regarded (training provided)

Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to grow with the business
