Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Cook

New Farm Deli kitchen is seeking dynamic and experienced hospitality professionals who will have experience in previous Catering / Production/ Kitchen or Cook experience. This role is to assist our Catering Team.

Listed below is a snapshot:

· Preparing gourmet platters, filled breads

· Assisting production team with food prep, portioning and packaging

· Assisting Production team with basic food prep, packaging and labelling of products

· Must know how a busy commercial kitchen operates

· Compliance of food Safety

· Liaising with and providing service excellence to Customer

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience as Cook or Caterer in high-volume food preparation environment

Knife skills, food portioning and confidence in working around sharp tools such as mandolines or slicer

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP certification is a plus).

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen / front of house.

Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Flexibility to work mornings & weekends

Customer service experience

Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite & POS (a plus)
