Intraface Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons is a leading specialist practice renowned for clinical excellence, compassion, and patient-centred care. We are seeking a capable and empathetic Dental / Surgical Assistant to support our specialist surgeons at our modern Bowen Hills clinic.

This multifaceted role blends clinical precision with patient coordination and administrative support, offering opportunities for skill development and meaningful contribution within a supportive, values-driven team.

What You'll Do

Assist surgeons with procedures under local anaesthetic (chairside surgical assisting).

Maintain gold-standard infection control and sterilisation.

Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments.

Deliver empathetic, patient-centred care throughout each visit.

Provide pre, peri and post-operative support to patients - including follow-up phone calls.

Support front-of-house, administrative, and patient coordination tasks.

Opportunity to assist surgeons in hospital settings for procedures performed under general anaesthetic.

Experience: Minimum two years' experience in oral surgery, surgical extractions, and/or dental implant procedures. Dental Implant knowledge preferable.

Clinical Standards: Strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation, with meticulous attention to detail.

Technology Skills: Confident with healthcare software and computer systems (training provided).

Communication: Warm, empathetic, and professional with patients and colleagues with a strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements in healthcare settings.

Teamwork: Collaborative, supportive, and dependable within a dynamic surgical team.

Reliability: Punctual, organised, and calm under pressure.

Attitude: Positive, caring, and genuinely passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for.

Qualification: Cert III Dental Assisting.

⭐ Experience in hospital or theatre environments will be highly regarded.
