The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (minimum 5 years of full-time Australian public practice experience) who is ready to take ownership of client relationships, review the work of intermediate staff, and contribute to advisory and strategic planning for diverse entities.

This role offers you direct exposure to complex clients, cross-disciplinary collaboration with in-house financial planners and auditors, and opportunities for secondment to charities, medical centres, and listed companies.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.

Manage and review work completed by junior and intermediate accountants.

Handle client communications, tax planning, and compliance reviews.

Oversee BAS, FBT, and GST reporting.

Provide advisory input on structuring, cash flow, and business improvement.

Contribute to R&D claims and investor readiness documentation.

Liaise with external auditors, ATO, and other regulatory bodies.

About You

5+ years of full-time experience in Australian public practice (essential).

Completed or near completion of CA/CPA qualification.

Strong understanding of tax compliance and financial reporting for complex entities.

Proficient in Xero, XPM, MYOB AE, HandiSoft, and BGL360.

Confident communicator with proven client relationship skills.

Experience mentoring or reviewing staff.
