Brad’s Butchery is one of the Northern Rivers’ most respected organic butcher groups, with four thriving stores and a growing online delivery and small goods business.
We’re looking for an experienced Butcher-Store Manager who’s as passionate about quality cuts as they are about building a great team and customer experience.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you’ll lead a high-performing butchery team to deliver outstanding quality, presentation, and service. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, mentor apprentices, and ensure every cut that leaves your counter reflects Brad’s Butchery’s craft standards. In addition, you’ll contribute to one cross-store specialty area (e.g. Operations & Yield, People & Training, Customer Experience, or Logistics & Supply) to strengthen our group as a whole.

What You’ll Do

Lead a team of butchers, apprentices, and retail staff to deliver exceptional product and service.

Oversee cutting, portioning, and value-added production to brand standards.

Manage store performance — sales, margins, stock, and labour.

Build and manage rosters aligned with sales forecasts.

Maintain high standards of presentation, food safety, and WHS compliance.

Support training and development for apprentices and staff.

Champion Brad’s Butchery’s values of craftsmanship, consistency, and community.

What You’ll Bring

Qualified Butcher (Cert III in Meat Processing or equivalent).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in butchery, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of yields, cutting standards, and retail presentation.

Experience managing budgets, rosters, and team performance.

Customer-focused mindset and ability to resolve issues with professionalism.

Passion for local, sustainable, and organic produce.
