About Canvas
Canvas is a national Co-Living and Build-to-Rent (BTR) operator redefining what modern renting is all about. We put residents first, designing spaces, experiences, and communities that inspire connection and belonging. Our purpose is simple: “Goodbye renting. Hello living.”
At Canvas, every property is a living canvas where people, place, and purpose meet to create something vibrant and lasting.
About the Role
The Resident Manager is the on-site leader responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations, financial performance, compliance, and resident experience of our Canvas Build-to-Rent (BTR) community in Queensland.
This role blends hospitality driven service with the operational precision of professional property management. The Resident Manager ensures compliance with all relevant Queensland legislation, including the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (Qld), Agents Financial Administration Act 2014 (Qld), and Property Occupations Act 2014 (Qld) , along with Work Health & Safety and fire safety standards.
A key ambassador of the Canvas brand, the Resident Manager fosters a vibrant, connected community by proactively engaging with residents, coordinating and hosting regular events, and curating experiences that make every day feel a little more like home.
They play a pivotal role in maximising occupancy, retention, and revenue performance while ensuring operational excellence, compliance integrity, and brand consistency across all resident touchpoints.

A supportive national team that understands service and innovation
Career progression opportunities with a growing national pipeline of upcoming properties
Annual training and professional development pathways
Competitive salary package with KPI-based incentives
The opportunity to join one of Australia’s most exciting Build-to-Rent brands, where we’re redefining what renting means
