We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work with our motivated and cohesive team on a full-time basis, focusing on veteran care.

The role involves managing psychologists/clinical psychologists and MH social workers, leading professional development and supervision activities, liaison with stakeholders, facilitating group programs, providing education to care providers to enhance veteran outcomes, providing individual therapy, and assessment and report writing for Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) claims processing. Staff wellbeing is a priority at GO2Health, with several initiatives in place supporting this.

The role is classified as equivalent to HP5 ($150k per annum + super annuation).

Essential Criteria:

Full registration as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in providing CBT/DBT trauma-informed interventions to patients with mental health difficulties

A strong patient focus with a commitment to achieving best possible outcomes for patients and their families

A strong ability to work positively as part of the team, demonstrating flexibility and being readily available to assist your colleagues and work alongside the business operational needs and requirements

Good understanding of the DVA landscape

Team management experience

Excellent ability to provide time-limited mental health assessments and to synthesise the findings into reports for DVA claims processing

Willingness to collaborate with the Department of Defence, DVA, and other government and non-government stakeholders, psychiatrists, GP’s, and allied health professionals

Desirable Criteria:

A minimum of eight years’ post graduate experience in a mental health care setting

Experience in group facilitation

Understanding of DVA billings and DVA mental health assessments for the purpose of claims (training will be provided)
