SUMMARY
An excellent opportunity for a lawyer with employment / industrial relations experience to join a large financial services organisation supporting a key project. This is a full-time, 5-month secondment role with flexibility to work fully remote or otherwise hybrid working from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

THE ROLE
You will provide legal support on a key project, advising on industrial relations and working with other internal teams. This is a full-time secondment for 5 months. Remote working flexibility or otherwise hybrid working in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Interpret and advise on obligations under applicable industrial instruments and employment legislation

Guide internal teams on compliance requirements

Review and analyse data to identify compliance issues

Draft, review and update documentation

Support project governance by identifying and addressing legal risks

Liaise with stakeholders to ensure consistent application of legal advice

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced employment lawyer with a strong grounding in workplace relations law and proven ability to interpret and apply complex industrial instruments.

An admitted Australian lawyer with experience in employment or workplace relations law

Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and relevant industrial instruments

Proven ability to interpret and advise on legal obligations accurately and clearly

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities within tight timeframes

ON OFFER

Competitive remuneration package based on experience.

Full-time 5‑month contract commencing ASAP through to March 2026.
