Our client is a financial services organisation on the lookout for a Senior ETL Developer with expertise in SQL and SSIS on a 12-month contract – you will need 7+ years of SQL AND SSIS experience for this role

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain, support, and monitor existing production SSIS packages and SQL Queries and Stored Procedures, CI/CD pipelines to make sure all data loads on data warehouse meet data quality standards and business SLA requirements;
• Participate and contribute data architecture design, data modelling, gathering and analysis of data requirements; understand document, communicate, and build appropriate solutions;
• Participate, design, build, deliver, and document data related projects and activities with latest Azure data analytics technologies;
• Promote data engineering best practices with CI/CD pipelines and automation;
• Coach and mentor junior data engineers on best practices and technologies;
• Collaborate and work closely with team members and contribute significantly to building a high performing, collaborative, transparent, and result-driven data engineering team; and
• Support the Data Engineering Team with best fit-to-purpose data engineering solutions, quality engineering artifacts and high standard documentation.

About You

• 7+ years of demonstrable experience in design, build and support of data engineering pipelines in the MS SQL data warehousing, SSIS ETL, data ingestion, cleansing, manipulation, modelling and SSRS reporting;
• Strong knowledge and extensive experience in implementing data engineering;
• Strong data modelling knowledge and physical implementation experiences with Dimensional and/or Data Vaults methodologies; and
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer/data science technical or related field is a must.
