Assistant Development Manager (Commercial Mixed-Use Precinct) – Sydney $120k - $150k + Bonus
Our client is a private Australian founded investment group, based in Sydney who boast one of the most exciting precinct style major real estate projects across all of Sydney. They hold a clear strategy of development focused growth within the commercial and alternatives sector and hold a national footprint in terms of current pipeline.
As an experienced Assistant Development Manager, you will assist across the Australian portfolio using your experience to manage various aspects of the assigned program to achieve the best outcome for the group and its partners. In addition to your high level of front-end development exposure (feasibility modelling, originations, investor decks, DA/ planning), you will gain significant project delivery experience and stakeholder management skills to achieve the strategy set out by your senior mentors and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed financial analysis of development opportunities, effective rents and general acquisitions;
- Assist senior development team members with leasing and tenant strategy;
- Assisting in the drafting of investment papers and pitch documentation, as well as assist with submissions and marketing as required;
- Assist in forecasting (including house view on rentals, cap rates and land values);
- Broad research and benchmarking of transactions across designated regions of interest;
- Working within the planning controls sphere and dealing with government authorities, assist the processing and management of development applications;
- Assist with tendering process for design, consultants and head contractor;
- Helping manage the construction phase for development product with SDM/PD;
Requirements:
‐ Degree qualified in Property Economics, Construction, Finance, Engineering or equivalent field;
‐ Strong track record in development management and projects, resource allocation and reporting;
‐ Strong people skills and can manage ambiguity and changes effectively;
‐ Understanding / knowledge of the NSW planning environment;
‐ Ability to manage multiple projects and clients and meet shifting priorities and deadlines;
‐ Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
‐ Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
