A nationally recognised services organisation delivering essential operations across a range of industrial sectors. Known for its commitment to ethical standards, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance, the business is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join its Risk division and support its national footprint.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Risk, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation meets all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations across multiple service lines. This is a hands-on compliance role with exposure to licensing, audits, policy development, and contractor governance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing company and site-specific licenses and registrations (e.g. labour hire, security, cleaning, construction, defence).
- Monitoring expiry dates and maintaining central registers for licenses and employee clearances.
- Preparing and lodging the Modern Slavery Statement and ensuring compliance with Fair Work, WHS, and ISO standards.
- Overseeing compliance systems and platforms ensuring records are accurate and audit-ready.
- Acting as the primary liaison for client, ISO, and external audits, including managing submissions to compliance portals.
- Ensuring subcontractor compliance across construction and maintenance projects, including WHS and Principal Contractor obligations.
- Developing and maintaining policies such as Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery, Privacy, and Environmental Sustainability.
- Investigating breaches and non-conformances, documenting corrective actions, and escalating significant issues.
- Coordinating compliance training and inductions for employees and contractors.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance dashboards and reports.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3-5 years' experience in compliance, governance, or quality management.
- Industry experience in construction, facilities, or security (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Fair Work, WHS, ISO standards, and Modern Slavery legislation.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance streams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance platforms
What you'll get in return
