About the Role:
As a Speech Therapist at DCC, you’ll play a vital role in delivering evidence-based, participant-centred therapy across a diverse and dynamic clientele. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults within clinics, schools, homes, or via telehealth, you’ll support NDIS participants and community members to unlock their communication potential.

Day-to-day will include:
Provide advanced assessment and therapy to clients with complex communication and neurological needs.
Handle diverse cases for children and adults with neurological, sensory, and physical conditions.
Conduct assessments (formal/informal), set therapy goals, and develop individualised intervention plans.
Trial and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and develop supportive resources for clients and families.
Work closely with community groups, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support client goals and service quality.
Complete clinical documentation, reports for Medicare/NDIS, and maintain patient records using Cliniko.
Contribute to team growth, provide feedback, engage in supervision, and support service improvements.
Provide training to carers, educators, and families, and participate in outreach such as workshops and educational visits.
Engage in service development, project implementation, productivity monitoring, and other delegated tasks.

Competitive remuneration of $90k - $115k per annum based on experience, plus superannuation, plus $2500 professional development budget to support you in your continued growth in your career.
Relocation assistance can be provided if you are located outside of the region or country.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Speech Therapy
Current SPA Registration
2+ years' experience as a registered Speech Therapist highly regarded
Working with Children Check (QLD Paid Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain
Current P2 or Opens Australian driver's licence (essential for travel between sites)
Eligible for a Medicare provider number
National Police Check or willingness to obtain
Nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Strong organisational, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
A positive, client-centered approach to therapy
