The Team:
The Taxation Unit is responsible for ensuring the Department’s compliance with its Australian Government Taxation and Superannuation legislative obligations.
The Role:
Working closely with the Manager, Taxation, the Senior Taxation Analyst provides technical advice, training and assistance to senior management and operational staff throughout the Department on procedures and policies including collating and analysing all relevant data for the purpose of determining the Department’s taxation and superannuation liabilities.
You will need:
- Strong communications skills with the ability to work through technical taxation and superannuation issues with a wide variety of stakeholders
- A solid understanding Taxation and Superannuation legislation and the ability to apply your knowledge to issues relevant to the Department’s legislative obligations
- Ability to interrogate financial systems and provide high quality technical analysis and advice across the Department.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
