About the role

Highrise Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger Supervisor to join our team. This full-time position is based in our Wacol Brisbane, QLD 4076 office, leading a team of qualified riggers/dogmen and boilermakers on high-profile construction projects across the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

As part of the position, you’ll receive a fully maintained company vehicle and a work mobile phone.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate a team of riggers, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Plan, schedule and oversee rigging operations, including the setup, use and maintenance of rigging equipment

Liaise with project managers, engineers and other site personnel to communicate progress and address any issues

Provide on-site guidance and support to the rigging crew, troubleshooting problems as they arise

Ensure all rigging work is performed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies

Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement

Complete necessary documentation, including daily reports, timesheets and incident reports

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a qualified rigger, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Thorough understanding of rigging equipment, techniques and safety practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle challenges on site

Proven track record of delivering high-quality rigging work on complex construction projects

Current High Risk Work Licence (Rigging) and other relevant certifications

Commitment to upholding workplace health and safety standards
