Are you passionate about data accuracy, environmental science, and making a real impact in sustainable fisheries management? This QLD Government client is seeking a skilled and motivated Fisheries Data Officer to join our Reporting, Information and Digital Solutions directorate.
In this vital role, you will play a key part in managing and analysing fisheries data to support informed decision-making and deliver clear, insightful reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical advice and conduct quality control and validation of Fisheries databases to maintain data integrity.

Retrieve and analyse data from multiple sources to inform policy, operations, and strategic decisions.

Prepare accurate reports and data summaries to support internal teams and external stakeholder engagement.

Communicate professionally with clients, demonstrating discretion, tact, and clarity.

Collaborate with Fisheries Queensland teams to share insights and promote evidence-based reporting.

Work autonomously within a team, setting priorities and consistently meeting deadlines.

Contribute to the ongoing operations of the directorate with flexibility and initiative.

About You:

You are detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of transforming complex data into clear, actionable information. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring strong communication and problem-solving skills to the table.

Mandatory Requirement:

A degree in science, applied science, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role.
