About the Role:

As the Café Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high standards in food quality, consistency, and presentation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café setting and enjoys both the creativity and the structure of kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily food preparation and cooking in a busy café kitchen

Prepare meals for dine-in and display fridges with a focus on freshness and presentation

Assist front-of-house staff during peak service times as needed

Create daily specials

Perform monthly stocktakes and manage inventory effectively

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure equipment is well cared for

Monitor and control food waste to support sustainable practices

Always adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 5 years of experience working in a café kitchen as a chef

Strong multitasking skills

Solid understanding of food costing and portion control

Creative flair for café-style dishes and food presentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen compliance procedures

A positive attitude and professional approach to work
