ABOUT THE ROLE

St Agnes’ Catholic Parish is seeking a passionate and dynamic Youth Ministry Coordinator to lead and grow a vibrant youth community. This role is an exciting opportunity to share the Catholic faith with young people and help them connect more deeply with Christ, the Church, and one another.

As Youth Ministry Coordinator, you will play a key role in creating engaging opportunities for youth to explore and live out their faith. This includes running youth groups, supporting young adult initiatives, collaborating on parish events, and building strong connections with our parish schools. You'll work closely with the Parish Priest, the Parish Pastoral Team, and school staff to inspire and support young people on their faith journey.

This is a Permanent Full-Time role (76 hours per fortnight), which will includes some weekend and evening work to support youth events, retreats and liturgical activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and coordinate the Parish Encounter programs for youth and young adults.

Plan and deliver an annual calendar of youth-focused events and activities.

Support the Parish Priest and the Pastoral & Liturgical Ministries Coordinator in coordinating youth & family Masses, as well as sacramental programs for young people.

Support youth participation in parish and Diocesan events

Connect with Parish schools, support sacramental programs, and engage students in faith-based activities.

Manage youth communications, including social media and parish promotions.

Work collaboratively with Parish leaders, volunteers, and ministry teams to grow and strengthen youth engagement

Contribute to broader pastoral and parish activities as part of the Parish team.

WHO YOU ARE

Experience working with youth in schools and/or Parish environments.

Proven ability to plan and lead youth events and sacramental programs.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, parents, and colleagues.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

A collaborative team player, committed to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.

Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including weekends and evenings.
