The Opportunity
You'll be a key part of our HSEQ team, partnering with leaders across the business to identify risks, audit our operations, and ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and best practice. This is a role for someone who thrives on detail, influence, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct internal audits and support external audit activities
Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory and internal business requirements
Manage the review, development and update of HSEQ policies and procedures
Maintain and monitor the business risk register
Analyse data and prepare actionable reports to senior management
Act as the liaison with Hutchison Ports Group Compliance on ICRM activities
Collate and complete regulatory safety and compliance reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Support the business in activities such as organising emergency drills, inspections and other HSEQ related initiatives
About You
Minimum 2 years' experience in a compliance or risk role, preferably within a Blue Collar industry.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a compliance or risk role, preferably within maritime, logistics, or heavy industry sectors
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
Auditing certificate and hands-on auditing experience
Strong communication, influencing, and analytical skills
Legal or stevedoring/logistics background (desirable)
Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted right to work in Australia

Sydney International Container Terminals (SICTL) operates a modern international container terminal at Sydney’s Port Botany.
SICTL is on a 45 hectare site and officially opened in July 2014.
