Your new role

Join our Early Childhood Approach (ECA) team as an Early Intervention Speech Pathologist and make a meaningful impact for children aged 0-6 years with developmental delays and their families. We embrace a relationship-based approach, fostering strong connections with families to support each child's unique journey.

Utilising the key-worker model, you will be the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent and family centred care. Our work is short term, sessions are community based and occur across a 3-month span. You will be supporting a culturally diverse clientele and part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Early Childhood Educators.

Your day-to-day

Starting each day working from home you will:

  • Perform functional assessments for young children to determine appropriate supports.
  • Collaborate with families and trans-disciplinary teams to implement individualised intervention plans.
  • Provide direct Speech Pathology services in both individual and group settings.
  • Support families, educators, and professionals in creating inclusive environments and staying updated on best practices.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology (essential).
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (essential).
  • Experience working with young children with developmental delays or disability and their families.
  • Openness to work in an innovative, dynamic and relationally informed early intervention model.
  • Knowledge of early childhood intervention principles and best practice.
  • Current drivers' license, willingness/ability to travel to clients (pool cars provided).
  • Current Blue Card.
