About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team at R @ M Timber' in Willaston, South Australia. As a Yard Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our timber yard, ensuring efficient and effective management of our stock and materials. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company.

What you'll be doing

Unloading and loading timber and building materials onto and off trucks, using appropriate equipment as needed

Organising and maintaining the timber yard, ensuring materials are stored safely and in an orderly manner

Assisting customers with the selection and loading of timber and building supplies

Performing general yard maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, cleaning, and minor repairs

Collaborating with the team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the timber yard

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar labourer or yard hand role, preferably within the timber or construction industry

Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

Good communication and customer service skills

A positive, team-oriented attitude and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the business
