About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our team at Blue Willows SRS Residential Care (New Domain Developments Pty Ltd) in Ringwood, VIC. This part-time position on Monday to Thursday 9.15am to 2.15pm will see you leading the kitchen and playing a key role in delivering exceptional home style dining experiences to our residents.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management

Work with a team of other talented cooks, ensuring consistent food quality and efficient workflow

Develop and refine recipes, experiment with new ingredients and techniques to enhance our menu offerings to residents

Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards and corodinate annual and random food safety audits

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen

Liaise with care staff staff to ensure seamless service

What we're looking for

Relevant experience as a cook or a qualification in Culinary Arts. Experience cooking in an Aged Care or Supportive Residential Service environment is an advantage but not critical

Excellent knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a team

Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality, home style dishes

Adaptable and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
