ACCOUNTANT

We are a well-established small-to-medium business with strong client relationships and a reputation for professionalism and safety. We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at our head office in Banksmeadow.

This full-time role blends strategic financial oversight with hands-on management of day-to-day finance and HR operations. You’ll work closely with senior management and play a key role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and reporting

Prepare and review client invoicing, progress claims and variations

Monitor cash flow, risk and compliance

Lead and support finance and admin staff

Liaise with external accountants and regulatory bodies

Use Xero for payroll and accounting functions

Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for efficiency

About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance roles within small to medium businesses

Recognised accounting qualification (CPA/CA preferred)

Experience with payroll and HR processes

Experience in the construction sector is highly desirable

Strong understanding of trade services operations

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Xero and advanced Excel skills
