Frontend Software Engineer (Next.js / React) – 12 Month Contract

We’re hiring a Frontend Software Engineer to join a newly formed squad within business banking at one of Australia’s Big 4 Banks. This is a 12 month contract with strong extension potential, building out a greenfield CRM platform for bankers and their customers.

About the Role:
You’ll be joining a brand new squad focused on delivering the CRM portion of the platform. The role is frontend heavy, with Next.js expertise highly valued. You’ll collaborate with 5 local engineers, BA, QA, and an offshore team. This role requires strong collaboration and a process focused mindset, working within the risk aware environment of a major bank.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience
  
  
• Strong hands on expertise with Next.js and React
  
  
• Exposure to C#/.NET is a plus but not required
  
  
• Experience working in banking or large, complex corporate environments
  
  
• Strong process discipline and ability to deliver in risk averse settings
  
  
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with offshore teams

• 1 stage technical interview (up to 1 hour)
  
  
• ASAP start preferred, 4 week notice period is fine for the right person
