We are seeking a Finance Business Partner with a solid foundation in accounting to join at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a unique chance for an ambitious finance professional to step into a hybrid role that blends hands-on accounting with strategic business partnering.

As Finance Business Partner, you will oversee a portfolio of work across divisions. Working closely with business owners, you will support day-to-day financial operations while providing commercial insights to drive performance and enable strategic growth. This role offers exposure to both operational and advisory work, making it an excellent platform for someone looking to broaden their impact and grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Compliance

• Lead month-end close, driving accuracy across AP, payroll, journals, tax, and cash flow;
• Act as the go-to technical expert, reviewing work and resolving complex accounting queries; and
• Oversee compliance deliverables including BAS, FBT, income tax, annual financial statements, and special purpose reports.

Finance Business Partnering

• Build and maintain financial models to support performance, budgets, and reporting;
• Deliver insightful management reporting and analysis, turning numbers into clear, actionable recommendations; and
• Partner with senior leaders to influence decision-making and drive business growth.

Team Management & Leadership

• Guide and collaborate with a high-performing offshore bookkeeping team to ensure seamless operations;
• Foster strong relationships with firm leadership and Finance teams, providing trusted financial advice and best practices; and
• Mentor and empower team members to deliver at their best while building long-term capability.

What we’re looking for

• CA or CPA qualified, bringing strong technical expertise to the table;
• 5+ years’ experience in finance, with proven ability to deliver in dynamic environments;
• Confident communicator and collaborator, able to partner effectively across teams and stakeholders;
• Hands-on Xero experience (highly regarded, but not essential);
• Strong analytical mindset, with depth in tax, accounting, and problem-solving;
• Solid financial modelling skills (intermediate Excel and beyond); and
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the adaptability to navigate ambiguity and the drive to grow alongside the business.
