About the Role

We are seeking applications for the 12 Month Term role of Staging Coordinator. This is an essential role that provides superior service and duty of care to staff and hirers by administering a fair and equitable, skill-based rostering system to a large and diverse team of Staging, Flys and Rigging staff. This is done through the Deputy Time and Attendance system. This position reports to the Manager - Staging and works closely with Head, Senior and Staging Technicians.

The hours of work will be primarily office based with occasional after-hours work depending on business activity. Availability will be daily Monday to Friday hours with occasional weekend scheduling duties when they arise.

Depending on business activity, you may be required to work more than thirty-eight (38) hours per week

In this role you will:

Roster, coordinate and lead small to large teams of Staging Technicians working in multiple venues and roles in a high- pressure, hands-on team environment.

Ensure fair and equitable, skill-based rostering is carried out for all Staging staff for activities within the Centre, or as required according to guidelines, policies and procedures.

Contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Staging Department and Production Services Unit through participation in business planning processes, production meetings, rostering staff, assisting with purchasing stock and equipment, using Finance One, and other activities as required from time to time.

Assist the Manager – Staging with the delivery of, and participation in, and scheduling of Team Members for appropriate training and development programs. This will include PSU Trainees and Staging Technicians.

Assist the Manager – Staging with the generation of additional revenue through the development of new business opportunities.

Actively provide administrative and software support to the Staging Department personnel in their roles and duties.

Provide input and assist with the development of the budget of the Staging department to meet predetermined performance targets.

Provide input and assist with the research and implementation of a planned equipment maintenance and renewal program for the Staging Department.

Assist to establish and maintain the Staging Department Rigging Equipment Register.

Assist with the roll out and ongoing maintenance of an Equipment Hire/Tracking system.

Contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Staging Department and Production Services Unit through participation in business and infrastructure planning, acquisition, installation, and documentation.

Help maintain the daily operations of the department and organisation by providing employees with guidance, administrative support and equipment to aid them in their roles.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

Demonstrated knowledge of Staging, powered flying and rigging systems and principals.

Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to roster, lead, motivate, support and supervise large numbers of employees in a hands-on team environment in multiple venues and to work effectively as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service in a high-pressure, cost-conscious environment.

Demonstrated ability to work with a broad range of people and with a flexible open-minded approach to change in high pressure situations.
