Verdant Horticulture and Maintenance is growing we are looking for:

A Junior who’s keen to learn, ready to put in the work, and wants a real start in the industry

A Senior who knows the ropes, leads by example, and takes pride in a job well done

We maintain some of the Sunshine Coast’s best properties — from large acreage blocks to premium coastal homes. Our shed is based in Glenview, and we work across the hinterland and beachside suburbs, including Noosa. This isn’t a mow-and-go outfit. We do things properly — and it shows.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be part of a capable team responsible for:

Lawn care and mowing (including ride-ons)

Hedging, pruning, mulching, planting

Softscaping upgrades and garden clean-ups

12v garden lighting, irrigation maintenance and installs

Weed control — chemical-free where possible

Landscaping but no hardworks (concrete etc) and maintenance with pride in every detail

You’ll be on the tools and in the field, using quality gear and Verdant vehicles. Occasionally that includes trailers or a small truck — but mostly, it’s well-planned days with a supportive team and clear direction.

The Junior Role

You’re reliable, switched on, and ready to get your hands dirty

Experience is great, but a good attitude matters more

You want to learn the right way — not just coast along

We’re open to an apprenticeship for the right candidate

Qualifications are a bonus but not required

The Senior Role

You’ve worked in gardening or landscaping and know what quality looks like

You’re calm, confident, and capable of leading by example

You take pride in the result and understand the process

You’re good with clients and happy to support junior staff

Qualifications preferred, strong experience highly valued

What We’re Looking For

A valid driver’s licence (auto is fine)

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

A sense of humour, clear communication, and a team-first mindset

Casual availability, with potential for full-time

Someone looking for a long-term role, not just a stopgap

Pay

Junior: $30–$35/hr based on experience

Senior: $38–$45/hr based on experience and leadership
