About the business and the role

Evans Rd Medical Centre is a state of the art Centre and is looking for a part-time experienced Practice Nurse Division 1 to join the team located in Cranbourne West. The position will start at 2-3 days per week with the intention to develop into a full time position.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your role as a Practice Nurse will include:

Assist doctor with procedure

Wound care

Care plans and health assessments

Immunizations - Childhood vaccination/ travel vaccination

Health education and promotion

Recall system maintenance and

Triaging patients from reception

ECG, ABPI, spirometry, 24 Holter, 24 BP

Reception duties

Iron infusions, IV cannulation

Health Screening/ Health assessments

Skills and experience

You must have the following:

Division 1 with current APHRA registration

Current CPR

Minimum 1 year experience as a Practice Nurse in primary care clinical setting

Experience with chronic disease plans and health assessments

High energy and proactive

Good patient empathy

Be a team player with a can-do attitude

Our Ideal Practice Nurse will:

Have experience with Best Practice software

Have excellent communication and customer service skills

Have experience in Chronic Disease management (Care Plan & Health Assessment)

Team Player, able to work along with our friendly team and autonomously

Excellent attention to detail

Thrive working in fast paced environment

Ability to self evaluate and reflect on practice
