Established in 1926, The Motor Trade Association SA/NT is recognised as the automotive skills and training provider of choice in the industry. We train over 1000 apprentices yearly in Light, Heavy, Electrical, Paint, Panel and Parts trades. We have an excellent reputation as both a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and a Group Training Organisation (GTO). We partner with schools and offer automotive school pathways to students and have a loyal membership base. The MTA is the only employer-based organisation dedicated to protecting and growing the automotive retail, service and repair industry in SA and NT. About The Position
- Join our high-performing team as a Workplace Relations Advisor where responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice and related support to members in relation to industrial relations, pay queries and WHS queries.
- Prepare and update Wage Guides.
- Provide advice and related support to members in relation to customer complaints and Australian Consumer Law.
- Create and deliver industrial relations training and information sessions.
- Attend metropolitan and regional member zone meetings from time to time.
- Prepare relevant items for member communications.
- Provide written advice to members on a range of IR and HR matters.
- Provide administrative support to the Workplace Relations Department.
- Coordinate member training delivery.
To be successful you will have:
- Legal, Industrial Relations or Human Resources qualification or experience.
- Excellent verbal/written communication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills including a high level of analytical ability.
- Customer service.
- Time management.
- Attention to detail.
- Training delivery / presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, showing initiative and a proactive approach.
- Innovative – bring new ideas.
Desirable:
- Work Health and Safety experience.
- Dispute resolution qualification or experience.
- Cert IV – WHS qualification or experience.
- Advocacy experience.
- Auditing experience
