About the role

HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES' is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time or casual basis. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients maintain and improve their independence, health and wellbeing. This position is based in Thomastown, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive functional behavioral assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized management plans

Conducting Home & Living Assessments under NDIS designed to inform housing options for individuals with disabilities.

Provide evidence-based interventions to help clients achieve their goals, such as improving their mobility, self-care, and participation in daily activities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver holistic care

Recommend and assist with the implementation of adaptive equipment and home modifications to enhance client independence

Maintain detailed client records and documentation in line with professional and organisational standards

Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest occupational therapy practices

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Demonstrated experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally in NDIS

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centred care

Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload

Current driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle

Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
