HR Advisor - Permanent or Contract - Based in the outer Southern Suburbs Brisbane - Government

Responsibilities

You'll provide expert advice and support to leaders across the organisation on all things people......no two days will be the same. The role includes:

• Coaching leaders through performance and conduct matters, helping them manage people with confidence and care
• Supporting and leading internal investigations, conflict resolution, and grievance processes
• Managing recruitment from end-to-end: job design, advertising, screening, coordination, onboarding and everything in between
• Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, legislation and policy, providing practical advice that builds trust and drives compliance
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to roll out projects and initiatives that support engagement, change, and capability-building
• Keeping systems and processes sharp, efficient and compliant through accurate documentation and continual improvement

Requirements and Skills

This is a role for someone who's adaptable, resilient, and thrives in a fast-moving, people-focused environment.

You'll bring:

• A relevant qualification in HR, IR or organisational development
• Proven generalist HR experience, ideally within government or a complex, multi-disciplinary workforce
• Strong emotional intelligence and a calm, solutions-focused approach to sensitive matters
• Confidence in interpreting industrial instruments and advising at all levels of the organisation
• A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a natural ability to build relationships
