About the role

This is a full-time role with Plumbnorth Pty ltd' in Cairns, Queensland.

As an Experienced Plumber and Gas Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the plumbing and gas systems for our diverse range of residential and commercial clients across the Cairns region.

What you'll be doing

Provide a wide range of plumbing services including installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and appliances

Carry out gas fitting work such as the installation, servicing, and repair of gas appliances and pipework

Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and gas issues, and propose effective solutions

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality, cost-effective services

Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety protocols

Maintain detailed records and provide clients with detailed invoices and reports

What we're looking for

Fully qualified Experienced Plumber and Gas Fitter with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry

Strong technical knowledge of plumbing and gas systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair procedures

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex plumbing and gas issues

Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

It would be looked upon favourably if Backflow, TMV and Solar Heat Pump Endorsements are held.

Open Gas Fitting License essential.

Commercial experience

Awareness of industry safety standards, knowledge of risk assessments and SWMS for working in the construction industry.
