This role is a 4-5 month maternity leave cover for a Financial Controller, at this point the client and I believe for the right person this could also become permanent.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO with a dotted line to the Managing Director, you will lead Finance and Administration operations and manage a team of 5-6 talented professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day finance operations, ensuring effective controls, processes, and alignment with business objectives.
• Oversight of month-end and year-end processes, financial reporting, management accounting, and decision support.
• Business partnering closely with operational divisions to provide strategic financial insights.
• Implementing and enhancing controls, policies, and procedures across finance, accounting, administration, and IT.
• Driving process improvements within the finance function to increase efficiency and support business performance.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, project accounting, and reporting.
• Oversight of outgoings recovery calculations, recharges, debtor management, and treasury support in collaboration with the CFO.
• Leading the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Providing guidance and accountability for timely payments, revenue collection, and accurate monthly reporting packages incorporating relevant KPIs.
• Acting as the central management point for the MD, CFO, and COO to proactively resolve matters and support business priorities.
• Performing other ad-hoc tasks to support wider operational and finance objectives.

This role is ideal for a proactive and commercially minded Financial Controller ready to make an impact within a collaborative executive team

Your Profile

As an experienced CA/CPA qualified accounting professional, you will possess a minimum of 6 years of practical experience in similar positions. Confident and capable of dealing with ambiguity, you will be a clear communicator who can manage the expectations of senior stakeholders and lead their team.
