Position Purpose

The Trainer and Assessor is responsible for delivering and assessing units from both the CHC30121-Certificate III and CHC50121-Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications.

All applicants require the following qualifications and experience:

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116), or

TAE40110 with required upgrades (TAELLN411 & TAEASS502)

Vocational qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care:

CHC50121-Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

CHC30121-Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

At least one year of recent (within the past three years) experience working in an early childhood education setting, such as:

Early Childhood Educator or Group Leader

Centre Director or Assistant Director

Kindergarten or Preschool Teacher (with vocational qualification)

Admin experience, ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Desirable Experience and Skills

Experience delivering VET training in classroom, online, or workplace settings

Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Education and Care Services National Law

Familiarity with TAS development, assessment design, and validation processes

Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students and communities

Ability to use Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas or Moodle) and digital teaching tools

The successful applicant must also hold or be willing to obtain:

Current Education Department National Police Clearance and

Working With Children Check

Desirable:

Previous RTO experience

Primary duties of this position include:

Delivery of Training and Assessment sessions from the relevant Training Package

Assessing student knowledge and skills

Participation in moderation and validation meetings

Documenting all learning and assessment

Reporting to management and employers
