About the role

Recognise Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Support Worker to join our team in Geographe, WA. As a casual employee, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality in-home care and support to our NDIS clients in our Supported Independant Living home, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community. Part-time or Full-time work arrangements also available.

What you'll be doing

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders

Provide companionship and social engagement to combat loneliness and isolation

Support clients in accessing their local community and attending appointments

Encourage and support clients to participate in Household activities both in home and out in the community

Advocate for clients' needs and preferences to ensure their care plan is tailored to their individual requirements

Maintain accurate records and documentation to track client progress and communicate with the wider care team

Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the wellbeing of clients and yourself

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or Certification in Disability Support

Previous experience in a similar home care role or nursing role, preferably in a community services setting

Current First Aide Certificate, or the willingness to obtain one

NDIS Worker Clearance & Police Clearance or the willingness to obtain them

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting clients with diverse needs

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation

A strong commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and independence of vulnerable clients
