The primary objective of the position is to generate sales through delivering the highest level of customer service to all Clark Rubber customers and assist in providing a welcoming, clean, neat and well merchandised retail store.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve customers courteously and efficiently ensuring the highest level of customer service standards are met at all times.

Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.

Assisting customers through answering queries and providing guidance and advice on product selection.

Pool water testing and assist customers in selecting pool and spa chemicals, accessories, and equipment.

Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately.

Stocking shelves and displaying product in accordance with planograms and to our Merchandising Standards.

Ticketing items within the store in accordance with the Merchandising Standards.

Start and End of day register balancing/counting.

Managing customer refunds in accordance with our Refund Policy and approval process with Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Follow and complete housekeeping tasks as listed on the Daily and Weekly Action Lists.

Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.

Receiving and storing stock deliveries as required.

Skills & experience required:

Have a current drivers license

Preferably retail experience

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.

Ideally an understanding and experience of sales i.e. retail, merchandising, customer service with knowledge of Swimming Pools highly regarded.

Knowledge or interest in swimming pool and spa products and maintenance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions.
