Position Overview
AIAT invites expressions of interest from experienced academic professionals and industry experts to join our MBA teaching team on a full-time basis in Adelaide/Melbourne. This opportunity is ideal for those passionate about business education and applied learning.
MBA Teaching Areas Include:
Leadership and Innovation
Leading Contemporary Organisations
Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making
Law and Ethics
Financial Strategies for Growth
Creative Thinking for Innovation and Strategy
Elective Units – e.g., Project Management, Digital Transformation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Leading for Sustainability
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in accordance with the MBA curriculum, including lectures, workshops, and seminars
Manage course materials and assessments through the AIAT Learning Management System (LMS)
Supervise postgraduate student research projects, including Capstone Projects and Directed Studies, in line with applied research standards
Facilitate critical discussion, problem-solving activities, and workshops that promote deep learning and practical application
Monitor student progress and identify those at academic risk, initiating timely interventions in collaboration with the Learning Support Coordinator
Develop an inclusive and collaborative classroom experience tailored to a diverse student body
Contribute to AIAT’s growing academic reputation through active participation in curriculum development, academic planning, and program accreditation processes
Participate in academic staff meetings, training sessions, course and curriculum design, and professional development activities
Maintain rigorous academic integrity and assessment standards as outlined by the Program Coordinator
Contribute to continuous improvement of course delivery through feedback and innovation, and undertake regular curriculum review and academic planning
Compile and recommend specialised academic resources and bibliographies to support student reading, research, and critical engagement
Selection Criteria
Essential:
A postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD) in Business, Management, or a related discipline
Subject matter expertise aligned with one or more of the MBA subjects listed above
Relevant industry experience (at least 5 years) in business, business leadership, innovation, law, finance, analytics or economics
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in higher education settings
Strong communication, engagement, and facilitation skills
Desirable:
Experience supervising postgraduate research or applied projects
Familiarity with online learning platforms (e.g., Moodle) and blended delivery
Experience in curriculum development, assessment moderation, and academic integrity protocols
