What You Will Be Doing

Lead and execute safeworking operations across the RTIO rail network, ensuring compliance with legislative and company standards.

Coordinate with stakeholders (Train Control, Planning, Network Specialists) to plan and manage multi-contractor obstructions and safeworking activities.

Support and oversee safeworking functions for Renewals, Maintenance, and Major Projects across inland and coastal operations.

Coach and evaluate safeworking personnel, including contractors, through audits, inspections, and performance management to maintain high standards.

Promote a safety-first culture, drive continuous improvement, and support the integration of new technologies and systems.

What You Need

Minimum 1 years Network Protection (Safeworking Experience)

High Performing Protection Officer.

Experience working with diverse skill sets

Internal external auditor - advantageous

Rail experience – RTIO network advantageous

Qualifications

Current Manual driver’s license – mandatory

Minimum M5 Safeworking Qualification

Training and Assessors TAE 4110 - advantageous

Medical Requirements

Rail Safety competency and Medical Assessment for this position – Category 1
