1. Academic Teaching Positions (Literature/English)
Overview:
We are seeking qualified academics to teach specialized courses to undergraduate students in translation studies at a Chinese public university. These short-term positions are available for two separate periods: September to December 2025 and March to mid-June 2026.
Position Details:
▪ Course: Critical Approaches to Literature
▪ Duration: 32 teaching hours, each teaching hour is for 45 minutes
▪ Course: Literary Responses to Global Issues
▪ Duration: 32 teaching hours, each teaching hour is for 45 minutes
▪ Course: Literature and the Visual
▪ Duration: 32 teaching hours, each teaching hour is for 45 minutes
There is some flexibility in course topics, it’s negotiable.
Teaching mode: Teaching on campus in China will be much preferred, online teaching will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality and engaging lecturing.
Developing the teaching plan and syllabus for the lecture.
Developing and updating course materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
Making a detailed evaluation framework, including attendance, class performance, assignments and so on.
A test needs to be prepared at the end of the course and the final score will be provided to each student.
Qualifications:
Master Degree or higher in translation studies, literature, linguistics or related fields.
Demonstrated experience in teaching specialized subfields.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Commitment to maintaining high teaching and ethical standards.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Compensation:
The salary will be in the range A$170-A$220 per teaching hour(45 minutes)
A course preparation fee of A$1000.
A course completion bonus of A$1000.
Support:
Comprehensive support, including coordination and payment for flight arrangements, accommodation, transportation, and travel insurance.
2. Curriculum Developer Positions
Overview:
We are also seeking experienced academics for curriculum development projects across various disciplines. These are flexible, remote (work-from-home) positions.
Development Areas:
We require curriculum development for courses primarily related to:
Information Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Scientific/Academic Writing etc..
Responsibilities:
Develop course outlines, syllabus, learning objectives, teaching materials based on provided course descriptions and development guides. Ensure curriculum alignment with academic standards and learning outcomes.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in a relevant major
Significant and demonstrable experience in higher education curriculum development.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent written communication skills.
Work Arrangement & Salary:
Remote work (work-from-home). Flexible schedule.
The salary will be negotiable.
