Launceston Periodontics & Dental Implants is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our friendly family like team!

The position is available for an immediate start and will be offered as permanent part-time, with an 6-8 day fortnight with hours of 7:30am-5:30pm. The work schedule will have a long weekend every fortnight. For the right candidate we could review hours and days, and pay rate would be above award, and negotiable based on experience.

We are a busy practice located in Launceston offering speciality periodontal care.

The Job will involve of the following tasks:

General and surgical chair-side assisting, sterilisation, and general cleaning duties. There maybe the potential to help out with the following administration jobs as well, helping manage the appointment books, processing HICAPS claims and account management, liaising with patients and practitioners, data entry, mailing and general administration duties, answering phone call and email inquiries.

Working along side Periodontists, Hygienist, visiting Prosthodontist all within a team of Dental Assistants and Receptionists. Every member of our team is a highly valued one.

Our ideal candidate would offer:

Minimum Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting

Reliable to committed working hours.

Highly professional, with good personal presentation.

Must be able to communicate effectively- both written and oral- with patients and other team members.

Extremely organised, with the ability to prioritise busy work loads, manage multiple demands within required time frames.

Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to different working techniques and areas.
