JOB TITLE : Materials Preparation Assistant / Storeperson

JOB TYPE : Permanent Full-Time

LOCATION : Edwardstown, SA 5039

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Cutting of Shelving and Timber to required specifications

Ø Painting, grinding and fixing to specifications

Ø Ensuring that prep work is complete and packed in time to meet dispatch dates

Ø Ensuring all work that is carried out meets high standards of finish and performance

Ø Unloading and loading trucks as required, including goods not prepared by self

Ø Assist warehouse team with open/close of warehouse back dock as required

Ø Undertake assigned tasks in a team environment and carry out instructions within allotted time frames

Ø Teamwork with the Service, Design and Manufacturing Departments is required to meet time and specification requirements of jobs.

Ø Observe all Company Policies in particular safe work standards and Company OHS.

Ø Correct uniform and dress for use of safety equipment whilst operating machinery

Ø Managing and maintaining all tools and equipment in the warehouse prep area

Ø Checking and reporting of any damage and advising corrective measures.

Ø Ensuring safe operation of tools and equipment by yourself and overseeing other employees in the Materials Preparation section of the Warehouse

Ø Safe forklift operation in all aspects necessary to complete the works in a timely manner

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications: (preferred but not all essential)

Ø Current drivers licence

Ø Forklift and Scissor Lift licences

Ø First Aid Certification – (Preferred but not essential)

Ø Able to gain Police and Government Clearances

Ø Building site ‘white’ card (not essential)

Ø Engineering aptitude

Ø Other trade qualifications (such as welding) will be advantageous.

Ø Experience in safe work practices

Skills:

Ø Skilled in the safe use of power tools, plant & equipment

Ø Willing to learn and develop your skills in all areas related to this position

Ø Ability to meet KPI’s and possibly work without supervision from time to time

Ø Ability to identify risks and adhere to all safety standards
