About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team at IGA Ravenswood in Launceston, Tasmania. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient retail operations.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the work of retail assistants, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard

Provide hands-on support and training to the retail team, helping them develop their skills and knowledge

Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing store

Handle customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues in a professional and timely manner

Assist with cash handling, reconciliation, and other administrative duties as required

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and security policies and procedures

Contribute to the continuous improvement of store operations and customer experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 year experience in a retail supervisory or management role

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a positive customer experience

Proficient in cash handling, inventory management, and other retail operations

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
