Are you ready to take the first step into the transport industry? We are offering a unique opportunity for a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Transport Apprentice. Over 24 months, you will gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and work towards earning your Heavy Combination (HC) driver licence, setting you up for a successful long-term career with MJ Mahon Transport.

What You will Do:

Assist experienced drivers with day-to-day transport operations.

Complete nationally recognised training in transport – Certificate III in Driving Operations.

Learn to operate , clean, and maintain several types of vehicles and equipment including having access to a fully maintained company utility vehicle during working hours.

Conduct minor vehicle Safety Inspections

Conduct minor mechanical repairs.

Distribution of Truck fuel and additives

Undertake safe loading and unloading.

Gain real-world driving experience under supervision.

Progress toward gaining a Forklift, MR ,HR and HC licence with full company support.

What We are Looking For:

A genuine interest in the transport industry

A current, clean, and valid driver’s licence (minimum Green Provisional Licence)

Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

A strong work ethic, reliability, and cheerful outlook

Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven customer service skills

IT skills – Microsoft office
