Our Mission

We support people to build capacity and reach meaningful outcomes through collaborative, therapeutic care. We deliver this through the provision of Allied Health, Youth Residential, Support Coordination, Lifestyle Support and Out of Home Care services across South East Queensland

The Role

The Workplace Health and Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs within the organisation. The primary objective is to minimize workplace hazards, prevent accidents, and promote a culture of safety. This position ensures compliance with WHS standards.

Part Time or Full Time opportunity on offer

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain WHS programs.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Monitor incidents, investigations, and hazards.
  • Manage work cover claims and rehabilitation cases.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and internal policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in Work Health & Safety is highly regarded.
  • 3 three years’ experience within a WHS type role.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Risk Management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct incident investigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening check.
  • Current Full Queensland Driver’s License.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of Human Services Quality Standards and NDIS framework.
