Our client is a electrical contractor based in Brisbane’s Northern suburbs. The company is part of a nationwide business network. They have built a strong reputation amongst the community as a trusted and reliable service provider. The team provides a wide range of electrical services. Specialising in service electrical, residential and commercial work.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Service Coordinator with a strong background in the electrical industry to join their team at their Brendale office. The team is looking to increase their efficiency in order to grow and improve operations.
Primary Objective
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the daily operations and scheduling for work across Brisbane.
Day to day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Managing the day-to-day schedule of our team of Technicians and Apprentices
- Maximise Technicians productivity and minimise customer wait times.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests and technician schedules.
- Understand work flow to be able to order equipment and materials required for service work and projects.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors and suppliers
- Build relationships with suppliers to create the most efficient product procurement process
- Creating Purchase orders, ordering materials and access equipment
- Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring all parts have arrived prior to scheduling work.
- Assist in the preparation of quotes for small works
- Other Ad Hoc tasks as required

The successful candidate for this opportunity will be highly motivated and confident in their communication skills.
You will also hold the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Knowledge of the Electrical industry – essential
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Computer skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel and SimPro)
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology, follow and improve systems, processes.
- Excellent time management ability to oversee and push projects along and interact with internal and external clients and suppliers.
- Take ownership and be accountable for your work
- Show initiative and a proactive approach to tasks
