Part-Time Disability Support Worker – Old Toongabbie

We are looking for a Disability Support Worker to assist a warm and welcoming family in Old Toongabbie in supporting their 25-year-old son who has Down syndrome.

This is a part-time position with consistent hours every Friday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, with the possibility of additional hours in the future for the right person.

About You

We are seeking someone who is:

Of Filipino background (preferred for cultural compatibility)

Experienced in disability support, particularly with young adults

Holding or working towards a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)

Compassionate, friendly, and able to build genuine rapport

Reliable, punctual, and values open and respectful communication

Role Responsibilities

Supporting our son with social and community activities

Encouraging independence and reinforcing positive routines

Building trust and connection in a respectful way

Ensuring a safe and supportive environment

Requirements

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)

First Aid & CPR certification (or willing to obtain)

COVID-19 vaccination, in line with current health guidelines

Police Check and referees

Optional

ABN (if preference is to be self-employed)
