About the Role
Join a major client in WA’s resources industry, as an experienced Environment Geospatial Analyst you will play a key role in preparing and analysing spatial data to support environmental approvals and impact assessments.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and government agencies to ensure spatial datasets are accurate, timely, and compliant — enabling informed environmental decision-making.
Long-term opportunity with a reputable Tier 1 client. 40 hour weeks based in Perth-office (WFH and flexibility can be discussed).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage spatial datasets outlining approval boundaries and project disturbance areas
Create clear, visually engaging maps and figures representing infrastructure layouts, environmental baselines, and sensitive site features
Analyse and quantify disturbance areas, compiling results to support regulatory approval submissions
Undertake geospatial modelling and statistical analysis to inform environmental impact assessments
Maintain and perform quality assurance on environmental spatial data, ensuring it’s current and correctly uploaded to internal platforms
Liaise with internal stakeholders and respond to data requests from relevant government agencies
What You’ll Bring
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in geospatial analysis, preferably within the energy, mining, or broader resources sector
Proficiency in GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial database management
Strong working knowledge of environmental and regulatory datasets
Excellent problem-solving, data interpretation, and communication skills
Ability to adapt and stay focused in a fast-paced, evolving project environment
Relevant tertiary qualifications in GIS, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
