About the role:

We are currently seeking a Cell culture operator. In this role, you will work in a GMP/clean room production facility and use your high degree of technical competence. The Cell Culture Operator is focused on the daily operation of manufacturing activities, including, mammalian cell culture, and the operation of single-use and stainless-steel bioreactors used in monoclonal antibody production using hybridoma cells.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Handling of suspension and surface adhering cell lines, including cell expansion and banking.
• Maintaining seed train and provide support with cell culture media preparation.
• Assembly and operation of stainless steel and single use bioreactors
• Participate in selected manufacturing improvement projects.
• Data analysis and reporting of results to the cell culture team.
• Documenting experiments and writing reports
• Appropriate escalation procedures for quality and safety concerns are followed.
• Effective support of deviation investigations, OOSs, with relevant parties
• Actively seek, recommend, and assist in implementation of improvements to enhance quality within the functional area
• Accurate completion of documentation to meet the appropriate regulatory requirement
• Preparation and review of Standard Operating Procedures and Batch Process Sheets as required

To be successful in this position you will have:

• A degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical/Biological Science, or related fields with laboratory experience in industry or academia.

• Experience with cell culture techniques and handling both suspension and adherence mammalian cell culture
• Prior experience with single bioreactor technology and/or Stainless-Steel bioreactors is a distinctive advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of GMP, OH&S and Quality Systems
• Basic computer skills (SAP experience desirable)
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow batch documentation and SOPs precisely
• Flexibility to work across shifts and adapt to multiple production tasks
