MedicoLegal Psychiatry is a busy psychiatric practice that specialises in medicolegal reports for both criminal and civil matters. We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager who will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and continual growth of our practice. The role is fulltime hours spread over four days. You will be managing two admin members and working with a team of psychiatrists.

You will be required to handle sensitive casework, complex scheduling, and confidential documentation with precision and professionalism.

The role entails:

Managing and supporting the admin team and psychiatrists in a dynamic work environment

Liaising with lawyers, doctors, insurers, government agencies and patients

Overseeing the team's performance and quality whilst managing a workload of your own

Scheduling of appointments, billing and delivering reports, ensuring a consistently high quality outcome of all work

Maintaining busy inboxes and phone calls with queries

Accounts management

Liaising with typists and proofreaders

General office duties

Overseeing the day to day running of the practice and the end to end process of both clinical and medicolegal matters

What we are looking for:

Minimum 2 years experience as a manager in a medicolegal company or legal practice

Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills while maintaining a level of flexibility

Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential

Attention to detail is a must

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A personal approach which is empathetic, friendly and helpful

Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office 365

People management skills, with experience successfully managing a team, 1-on-1s with staff and fostering staff development

Knowledge and experience with using Gentu and Quickbooks Online software advantageous

Understanding and respect for diversity and differing abilities

Ability to think outside the box and look for solutions in complex matters.
