Looking for an On-site support officer to join the team on a 12-month contract.

Your new role

As an IT Support specialist, you'll play a key role in enabling scientific research by providing both on-site and remote technical support.

• Provide hands-on support for hardware deployment, network patching, and software troubleshooting.
• Deliver remote support using modern tools to resolve incidents and fulfill requests.
• Collaborate with technical teams to apply known solutions and escalate complex issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to a culture of service excellence.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
• Ensure compliance with safety, diversity, and organisational values.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated a few years of experience working in a similar role as an IT Support officer
• Experience supporting Mac and Linux systems.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and solve technical problems.
• Professional and respectful behaviour in collaborative environments.
