About the Role
Flinders University is working on a new project.
The project is to create a new Diploma for people with intellectual disabilities.
We are hiring a Lived Experience Advisor to work on this project.
The Lived Experience Advisor will make sure the project is done well.
We are looking for someone with lived experience of intellectual disability to join the project team.
We are looking for someone who can share their experience and ideas.
You do not need any specific qualifications.

The Lived Experience Advisor will:
- Work with the Project Officer and project staff to develop a new university program
- Make sure the course is inclusive and accessible for the students that wlll be doing it
- Help create Easy Read and accessible materials (e.g. posters, videos)
- Speak at information sessions and talk to potential students
- Training and support will be provided
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a person with intellectual disability
- Feels confident sharing ideas and speaking
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Understands what a university is and what a Diploma means
- Can tell people when things are hard to understand
- Likes talking to people in the community and sharing information
- Can use computers and email
